Sparks flew at the third and Final Battle Royale of the season as Adventuring Parties and solo heroes squared off one last time in an effort to lay claim to the title of Multiverse™ Champs! The spirited – but ultimately one-sided affair – saw Palmer’s Protectors of Key Terms arrive loaded for bear with an arsenal of Items exceeding those of all other Contestants combined. They also had a clear strategy: take down That time I got reincarnated as Peruna…the Party atop the Course Leader Board heading into the showdown.

As the Battle was enjoined, SASEZ got off to a typically strong start earning a perfect score (and High Five Achievement) in Round One – but the Party struggled to achieve separation from Peruna as the rest of the Contestants staked positions further behind. With SASEZ and Peruna pacing the field at the start of Round Three, Palmer’s Protectors of Key Terms struck for the first time – deploying three (!) Magic Erasers in succession against Peruna. Thanks to the latter’s possession of two Amulets of Protection the damage was mitigated, though Peruna nevertheless saw three of their answers disappear! Remember, no Russian! got into the act at the outset of Round Four, employing their now well-used Magic Eraser for the third straight Battle Royale to disappear two questions from Noble Team.Immediately afterwards, Palmer’s Protector’s launched their fourth Magic Eraser attack on Peruna – eliminating another answer from the Party’s scorecard. Despite facing an avalanche of aggression, Peruna’s members stood strong. As the first half of the Battle Royale came to an end they led all challengers, maintaining a narrow four-point lead over SASEZ with the rest of the Contestants far off the pace.

Peruna and SASEZ continued to duke it out during the Battle’s Third Quarter of action (Rounds 7-9). Both Parties secured their second High Fives of the Contest by answering each question in Round 7 correctly, but Peruna extended their lead ever so slightly. With the Fourth, and final, Quarter to go, Peruna finally extracted revenge on  Palmer’s Protectors with a highly effective Wand of Lightning strike that stunned their tormentors for the entirety of Round 10! Unfortunately, this newfound offensive success proved fleeting. With only ten questions to go, Palmer’s Protectors delivered their coup de grace activating a Trickster’s Marotte to swap out their virtually blank Answer Sheet with Peruna’s – thereby ensuring the latter’s defeat by robbing them of over 300 points!

When the smoke finally cleared, Palmer’s Protectors of Key Terms had secured their second straight Battle Royale victory in a row. SASEZ came in a reasonably close Second and Noble Team placed Third.

With their aggressive and hard-fought win in BR-3, Palmer’s Protectors of Key Terms secured the overall title of Multiverse™ Champions for the Spring 2025 season.
