HoVG’s first Battle Royale™ was a surprisingly raucous and competitive affair that saw 7 Party and 8 solo Contestants (totaling 35 Adventurers) compete for the title of “Baddest MoFo in the HoVG Multiverse™ “!

The Ballers showed up ready to a rumble with available Party members sporting snazzy Royale Regalia – securing a +10% bonus to their final Score and unlocking the “Smells Like” Achievement (and 50 bonus CAPs) for their demonstration of Team Spirit!

As soon as the action commenced, That time I got reincarnated as Peruna and solo Contestant Alex Raezer started off hot as both unlocked the “High Five” Achievement right out the gate –  correctly answering each of the five questions in Round 1 [!] Peruna ended up with an impressive 120/150 possible points in the 1st Quarter (Rounds 1-3) of action.

Noble Team (one of three [!] Adventuring Parties formed moments before the start of Battle) ended the 1st Quarter a close second with 120/150 points while Party SASEZ (90/150) tied with Alex Raezer (90/150) in early third place with Valentino Merinho-Delzoppo (80/150) not far behind.

Perhaps gassed by their initial surge, That time I got reincarnated as Peruna faded in the 2nd Quarter (Rounds 4-6) managing only 40/150 point while SASEZ maintained their momentum securing a solid 80/150 to take a narrow 170-160 lead over Peruna at the halfway mark with Alex Raezer and Noble Team tied for third at 150 points each. This same quarter of action saw multiple Contestants (SASEZ, Noble Team, Raezer, Merinho-Delzoppo, and Party Vanilla Oreo) unlock the “This Buds for You” Achievement (worth 35 CAPS) by correctly answering Round 4 Question 20.

Valentino Merinho-Delzoppo impressed in the Battle Royale’s 3rd quarter securing 110/150 points – the second-best score in a single quarter for the match. SASEZ and UNSC kept pace with 90/150 and 70/150, respectively.

The final three rounds started with a surprise as Remember, no Russian! launched the first Offensive Action of the season, deploying a Magic Eraser to eradicate three (3) recorded answers from the defenseless That time I got reincarnated as Peruna. The sneak attack, which may have cost Peruna a third-place finish, secured Remember, no Russian! a whopping 100 post-Battle CAPs for unlocking the “No Quarter” Achievement as the first Contestant to undertake an offensive action in a Battle Royale. As the action enter the final stage, everyone limped to the finish, seemingly shell-shocked and exhausted from an unexpectedly challenging first encounter with Battle Royale!

3rd Place: Alex Raezer 288 [unlocks “Third Wheel” Achievement]
