He is author of Dictatorship of the Air: Aviation Culture and the Fate of Modern Russia\u00a0<\/em><\/a>(Cambridge University Press, 2006),\u00a0co-editor of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Science, Technology, Environment, and Medicine in Russia\u2019s Great War and Revolution<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/a>\u00a0(<\/span>Slavica Publishers<\/span>, 2022) and\u00a0How History is Made: A Student\u2019s Guide to the Reading, Writing, and Thinking in the Discipline<\/em><\/a> (Mavs Open Press, 2022), and, most recently, editor of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Flight Culture and the Human Experience<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em>(Texas A&M University Press, 2025)<\/span><\/span>. His current book-length project, How Russia was Made: Technology and Culture from the Icon to the iMac<\/em>, examines the foreign origins and domestic transformation of major technological systems from the founding of the Kievan state through the opening decades of the twenty-first century. He is the founder, President and CEO of SPOKE Educational Network, Inc.
